Distinguished Professor Paul J. Moughan
Distinguished Professor at Massey University, New Zealand
Professor Moughan holds the position of Distinguished Professor at Massey University, New Zealand and until 2017 was co-Director of the Riddet Institute, one of New Zealand’s seven government-funded Centres of Research Excellence (CoRE). In recognition of his past and ongoing contributions, he accepted the position of Riddet Institute Fellow Laureate. The Riddet Institute, sponsor of the Young Scientist Award at the Congress, is dedicated to research and postgraduate education in the science which underpins the development of innovative foods that promote health and wellness.
Director of the Oxford Martin School and Professor of Population Biology at Oxford University
Charles Godfray is a population biologist with broad interests in science and the interplay of science and policy. He has spent his career at Oxford University and Imperial College in the UK and is currently Director of the Oxford Martin School and Professor of Population Biology at Oxford. He has joint UK and New Zealand citizenship and his mother grew up on a dairy farm near Kaikoura.
